This volume conatains an extensive legal record of Grafton, Mass., a small community in central Massachusetts early in the 19th century, kept by Amaziah Howard (ca. 1768-1839), the clerk of the court which served the town of Grafton. The docket contains approximately five hundred case listings, each gives details of the dispute, as well as the amounts settled and owed to the court. Many settlers of the area appear in the docket books.
